The assessment consists of 30 questions and includes a combination of multiple-choice, scenario-based and graphic interpretation questions. Questions are randomly selected from a larger question bank.
Questions are designed to assess knowledge and decision-making in practical locating scenarios, including plan interpretation, equipment use, field procedures, locating techniques and risk awareness.
Assessment Process
Participants have up to two attempts to complete the assessment.
Participants achieving 85% or higher on their first attempt will complete the assessment process at that point.
A second attempt is automatically made available to participants who do not achieve 85% on their first attempt. Questions are randomly generated and may differ between attempts.
